Today may be Britney Spears' 27th birthday, but the pop megastar was more interested in giving her fans a long awaited gift — a new world tour
For the first time in five years, Spears will headline an arena tour beginning in 2009. The tour comes alongside the Louisiana native's much anticipated sixth studio album, "Circus," which was released today.
The album has already spawned the No. 1 hit single "Womanizer," which Spears performed on "Good Morning America" today.
Spears' tour will include 27 cities, beginning in her home state. Tickets go on sale Saturday, Dec. 6, and the well-choreographed Spears will begin rehearsing for next year's must-see tour in January.
As one of the top-selling artists of the last decade, Spears has seen her fame and musical accolades increase since she released her first song, "Baby One More Time" in 1999. Ten years later the blond bombshell still is a hot ticket in the industry.

I for one sympathize with Britney. As a single mother I can understand the challenges of raising children alone. It is something that you only understand if you experience it yourself. I do admire her resilience because even though she has had serious problems and lived her life in a fish bowl, she has bounced back to do a world tour!
That is what life is about. Raising above your mistakes and problems.
